    In the year 1967, a group of dedicated men, led by the Late Ranadeb Chowdhury and the late Shyam Lal Mistri, took the initiative in establishing this institution of learning and named it after one of the most illustrious sons of India. Thus was Chittranjan College born. LOCATION A Focal point in the City’s Transport Network, Chittaranjan College is situated on Mahatma Gandhi Road, very close to the Calcutta University, College Street Campus and Presidency College.     Vision

    RECENT DEVELOPMENT & OUR TARGET

    • The college has its future plan to have its second campus in the vicinity of College Street. For this, negotiations are in progress. Hope, the college will have its new campus within a few months.
    • The college has a well equipped library, common room and computer lab. Government has given six teaching posts to our college in various subject and three posts are already filled up.
    • The college has taken up the programmes of NSS. The C.U. has approved the NSS program in our college.
    • We maintain a good academic standard and the results are proportionate to it. Our vision is to generate a stimulating academic environment i.e. ideal for higher learning and to enter into the corporate world.
    • We provide our students ample opportunities to develop his/her full potential and to achieve professional growth with the help of innovative expansion and development of educational foundations. The amiable and family like environment of the college will help in the development of good citizens of India
